THE PROJECT

Western Mass delivery,
rebuilt from WordPress.

BlazeXpress is a licensed cannabis delivery business based in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It delivers same-day to fifteen cities and towns in Western Massachusetts, from Springfield and Chicopee to Northampton and Amherst. Its menu and checkout run on WebJoint, so the website’s job is to explain the service, answer questions and get people to the shop.

We rebuilt the site from WordPress and Elementor as a Next.js marketing and content site. It covers delivery areas, product categories, a blog, FAQs and compliance information, and every Shop button hands off to the WebJoint storefront.

DESIGN STRATEGY

A loud logo,
a calm page around it.

The logo, a green-and-yellow bubble script with heavy black outlines, has plenty of personality, so we kept everything around it restrained: warm paper instead of white, near-black ink instead of pure black and a soft serif for headlines.

Cards get hard-offset sticker shadows and corners that peel back on hover, and the homepage opens with a deals carousel you can swipe or flip. The extra effects stay off on touch screens and for anyone who prefers reduced motion.

TYPOGRAPHY

Fraunces headlines, Plus Jakarta Sans body copy and JetBrains Mono for labels and numbers.

COLOR

Warm paper and near-black ink, with the logo’s green and yellow and a rust accent.

DETAILS

Sticker-style cards with peel-back corners and a swipeable deals carousel.

HOW IT’S BUILT

Next.js up front,
the shop on WebJoint.

The site runs on Next.js 15 with React 19 and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 design tokens and shadcn/ui components on Base UI. Framer Motion handles the animation and blog posts are Markdown files.

It’s hosted on AWS Amplify behind CloudFront, and ordering stays on WebJoint at blazexpress.com/shop.

SEARCH, BUILT IN

Fifteen cities,
one address each.

The old site spread each city across several addresses. The rebuild keeps them working and points search engines at one page per city.

Each of the fifteen delivery cities has a landing page with neighborhood delivery times, local details and city-specific FAQs.

The old site used up to three address patterns per city. We kept them working and pointed their canonical tags at one main page per city, so the sitemap lists a single address for each.

Legacy WordPress addresses, including old product archives and date-based blog links, redirect permanently to their closest current pages.

Pages carry structured data from a shared set of helpers: LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, breadcrumb, collection and article markup.

Product category pages became buyer’s guides with FAQs, every blog post links back to its closest category, and an llms.txt file describes the business for AI tools.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The details
that make it work.

Fifteen city pages

Each delivery city has its own page with neighborhood delivery times, local details and FAQs.

Legacy addresses mapped

We kept the old address style and sent legacy WordPress paths to their closest current pages with permanent redirects.

A logo-led design

Warm paper tones, sticker shadows and Fraunces headlines leave the bubble-script logo to set the tone.
