THE PROJECT

Off WordPress,
across the whole Bay Area.

Leaf Runner Delivery is a California cannabis delivery service working across the San Francisco Bay Area, with Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin as its priority counties. Its original site ran on WordPress and WooCommerce.

We rebuilt it as a static Next.js site, carrying over the original design and copy, then reworked the homepage around one hero, a featured-products carousel and an offers ticker, and added an Areas We Serve hub with a page for each of 91 cities in nine counties.

DESIGN STRATEGY

The original look,
rebuilt to last.

We kept the original site’s look: near-black hero sections, a sticky black header with a green rule, warm cream content sections, green buttons and gold accents, with condensed, uppercase headlines.

The homepage leads with the block logo, a one-line promise and two buttons, next to a carousel of featured products. A green ticker underneath carries the current offer and delivery messages.

TYPOGRAPHY

Condensed uppercase headlines in Bebas Neue and Anton, over DM Sans body copy.

COLOR

Near-black and warm cream, with green buttons and gold accents.

LAYOUT

Every city page shares one layout: a dark hero, local copy and FAQs, and a sidebar with hours and nearby areas.

HOW IT’S BUILT

Static files,
no server to maintain.

The site runs on Next.js 16 with the App Router, React 19 and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS 4. It builds to static files hosted on AWS Amplify behind CloudFront, with no server runtime.

All images are self-hosted, so nothing loads from the old WordPress host.

SEARCH, BUILT IN

Ninety-one cities,
grouped by county.

A delivery service that covers a whole region needs a page wherever its customers search from.

An Areas We Serve hub groups 91 city pages by county, with the four priority counties listed first.

Twenty-two of the larger cities name their own neighborhoods, and every city page links to up to eight others in the same county.

Every city page has its own title, description and canonical tag, Store structured data for that city and a four-question FAQ marked up as structured data.

The sitemap and robots.txt are generated at build time and list every page.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The details
that make it work.

91 city pages

Every Bay Area city in the service area has its own landing page with local copy, FAQs and links to nearby cities.

Static by design

The whole site builds to static files on AWS Amplify, so there is no server to maintain.

The original look kept

We moved the site off WordPress and kept the design and copy its customers already knew.
