How to grant Nexvato access to Google Tag Manager

Invite Nexvato to your Google Tag Manager container, choose the right publishing permissions, and confirm access for website tracking work.

Google Tag Manager holds the tags, triggers, and variables used for website tracking. Giving Nexvato access to the correct container lets our team carry out the tracking work agreed for your project.

Before you start

Ask a Tag Manager administrator to send the invitation. Have the account and container for your website ready. If there are several containers, send your Nexvato contact the names and container IDs so we can help identify the one in scope.

Choose container permissions

Use Publish when Nexvato is responsible for taking tracking changes live. It includes editing and version creation. Edit allows changes without publishing; use it when your team will handle release. Read supports a review only. Follow any specific permission request in your onboarding message.

Invite Nexvato to your container

  1. Open Tag Manager. Sign in at Google Tag Manager and select your website’s container.
  2. Open user settings. Choose Admin, then User Management in the Container column.
  3. Add our team. Select + → Add users and enter the Google-account email from Nexvato.
  4. Set container access. Select the agreed permission, usually Publish for implementation work.
  5. Send the invitation. Click Invite. Our team will accept it using the invited Google Account.

Confirm the right container is shared

Reply to your Nexvato contact with the container name and its ID, which begins with GTM-. We will confirm access and the next step for your tracking setup.

This invitation is an onboarding step. Let us know who will review tracking changes and who will publish them, especially if your project includes a developer or another marketing team.

If you were asked for account access

Open Admin → Account → User Management instead. Account User access alone does not grant container access; set the relevant container permissions too. Grant Administrator only when account and user management are part of the requested work.

If you need help

If User Management is unavailable, contact your account administrator. If we cannot find the container after you invite us, check the invited address and container name with your Nexvato contact before creating another container.

Keep an administrator within your business. For continuity, Google recommends at least two active administrators. You can review or change our container permissions in User Management later.
